TURN UP THE RESILIENCE

TURN UP THE RESILIENCETURN UP THE RESILIENCETURN UP THE RESILIENCE

At Prevention Rocks, our mission is to empower individuals to live their fullest lives.

Transform Lives with Prevention Rocks

It’s pretty simple: Mental health literacy and drug and alcohol prevention works best when people genuinely want to be involved. That’s why our mission is to create engaging, accessible, and fun programs that rock—because prevention should be something people look forward to.

Founded in 2024, Prevention Rocks is a Ohio 501C3 nonprofit powered by respected professionals with decades of prevention leadership and community trust. We equip communities with practical, evidence-based mental health and substance use prevention tools through music-infused, "do-it-together' experiences. These aren't just lectures—they're interactive sessions that keep people focused, engaged, and happy to be in the room.

Our core programs include:

- Minimize Risk / Maximize Life: An evidence-based prevention program that promotes informed decision-making around alcohol use and life choices.

- Drug-Free Workplace: We help transform compliance into a supportive and positive company culture, fostering a Drug Free Workplace environment.

- A.I.D - Awareness, Interaction, Direction: A practical, skills-based training that equips participants to recognize early warning signs of substance use and respond appropriately.

- Driver Intervention Program: The Driver Intervention Program (DIP) is an evidence-based educational program designed for individuals cited for alcohol- or drug-related driving offenses.

We strengthen mental health and substance use prevention across Ohio communities.

Let's build prevention that lasts.

Promoting Well-Being and Mental Health

Prevention Rocks is dedicated to promoting mental health and substance abuse prevention through five key initiatives, including the Driver Intervention Program, A.I.D, Minimize Risk/Maximize Life and Drug-Free Workplace. These efforts aim to create a Drug Free Work Place and ensure a balanced and healthy community, much like how audio frequencies harmonize sound.

How prevention rocks aligns with audio frequency ranges

Sub-bass (20-60 Hz) - The Foundation of Stability

The sub-bass range provides a solid foundation for sound, much like education lays the groundwork for mental health awareness. Prevention, through initiatives like the Driver Intervention Program and Drug-Free workplace, focuses on raising awareness of mental health and substance abuse issues. This education is crucial in creating a Drug Free Workplace and helps build a stable foundation for individuals and communities to make informed and healthy choices, particularly in the realm of Teen Prevention.

Bass (60-250 Hz) - The Heartbeat of Support

The bass range represents the heartbeat of a song - steady and supportive, much like the foundational role of a Driver Intervention Program in promoting a Drug Free Work Place. Just as support and understanding are crucial for strengthening individual well-being, community initiatives like the Minimize Risk/Maximize Life play a vital role in teen prevention efforts. Prevention Rocks Focus: Support Communities by offering programs, resources, and safe spaces for communities to thrive and adopt healthy behaviors.

Midrange (250-2000 Hz) - The Voice of Advocacy

The midrange frequencies carry the human voice, making it the perfect correlation to advocacy, especially in the context of programs like the Driver Intervention Program and initiatives that promote a Drug Free Work Place. This amplification is vital for individuals in communities advocating for better policies and practices, including mental health and prevention efforts. Prevention Rocks Focus emphasizes the importance of advocating for change by promoting mental health and prevention policies at local, state, and national levels.

Upper Midrange (2000-4000 Hz) - The Collaboration Zone

The upper midrange frequencies help different instruments blend together to create a rich sound, much like how collaborative efforts in initiatives such as the Driver Intervention Program enhance the impact of a project. Prevention Rocks Focus emphasizes the importance of collaborating with partners, working hand in hand with organizations and agencies to broaden prevention efforts, such as promoting a Drug Free Workplace and A.I.D.

Treble (4000 - 20000 Hz) - Empowering Individuals to Shine

The treble range brings clarity and brightness to sound, symbolizing how empowering individuals to take control of their mental well-being. Prevention is key, and at Prevention Rocks Focus, we are dedicated to empowering individuals through workshops, support groups, and interactive programs. Our initiatives include a Driver Intervention Program and resources for creating a Drug Free Workplace, all designed to equip individuals with the tools needed to thrive. Additionally, our collaborations with the Minimize Risk/Maximize Life strategies to support youth in their journey toward mental wellness.
